Five questions for Sonja Weisheit

Which areas do you mainly work in?

My focus at Linn Goppold is on auditing and tax consulting. I am responsible for everything from financial accounting to the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns. Auditing annual and consolidated financial statements, designing internal control systems and consulting on accounting matters according to the German Commercial Code and IFRS are my main areas of activity.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

Regarding my two areas of activity, auditing and tax consulting, I help ensure that the financial processes of our clients run smoothly and accurately. I assist clients with the audit of annual financial statements, tax return preparation and the implementation of internal control systems. My goal is to save our clients valuable time, ensure compliance and provide them with financial clarity.

What has been your career path?

I started my Bachelor course of studies (B.Sc. Law and Economics) at the renowned University of Augsburg in 2017. Building on this foundation, I continued my academic journey and once again chose the University of Augsburg to earn my Master degree (M.Sc. Law and Economics). Towards the end of my Master course of studies, I had the unique opportunity to spend a year in the USA on a scholarship. I earned my LL.M. in Dispute Resolution at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution of Pepperdine University during this time.

I have been part of the Linn Goppold team since August 2023, providing support in the areas of tax consulting and auditing. My well-rounded academic background and international experience contribute to my work while I focus on providing services of high quality and advancing Linn Goppold’s goals.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

What drives me every day is the opportunity to help companies with financial optimisation and to find tax solutions. In the pleasant atmosphere at Linn Goppold, I especially value the strong team spirit that allows us to deliver top-class services for our clients together.
