Five questions for Gabriele Becker

Which areas do you mainly work in?

I work in the area of tax consultation. My main work involves assisting owner-managed family companies with various legal structures, and their shareholders. I have specialist know-how in the area of international tax law (especially business taxation and transfer pricing) as well as in tax advice for foundations and non-profit organisations.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

I try to solve all areas which the client presents to us. In addition, I show our clients how they can best use tax structure alternatives, and also always work on personal challenges.  I've developed foundation models, for example, consulted on transfer prices and successfully managed legal remedies.

What makes Linn Goppold special?

Linn Goppold is a medium-sized law firm in which the various areas such as auditing and tax advice work together closely, and the client can basically receive everything from one source. Also, for legal topics beyond what are dealt with by an auditing and tax consultancy firm, we can give advice thanks to our close collaboration with first-class external partner lawyers at our firm.

What has been your career path?

After studying business studies at LMU Munich with a focus on taxes and auditing, I first worked in various medium-sized auditing and tax consultancy offices. After completing my exams as a tax consultant and CPA, I worked in Munich in a cross-regional auditing and tax consultancy firm, then as the director of the tax department in one of the ten largest auditing firms in Germany.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

The constant new challenges in tax law and close contact with our clients motivate me. Also, the friendly, collegial environment in our offices is a motivation.
