Five questions for Harry Schierl

Which areas do you mainly work in?

The core area of my activities is tax advice to companies and entrepreneurs. A further area of focus is auditing and creating annual reports, specifically taking into account accounting policies. Consulting with technology start-ups and financial service providers, as well as all topics related to outsourcing is also a central area for me.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

I show my clients how they can use opportunities for tax optimisation, and avoid tax risks.

What has been your career path?

After finishing my business studies at the University of Regensburg, I first worked as a tax assistant in a medium-sized tax law firm. After my tax consultancy exams and approval as a tax consultant, I was an audit director in a large (big four) auditing firm. I took my auditing exam and was approved as an auditor. Then I founded and built up my own auditing and tax office in Munich, which was integrated in 2012 with the auditing and tax office of Linn Goppold; I've been a partner here since then.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

The opportunity to accompany successful entrepreneurs and companies on their journey, and make my own contribution to positive development.
