Five questions for Mario Meidl

Which areas do you mainly work in?

As Senior Finance IT, I work as a consultant in the fields of finance IT, digitalisation, IT consulting and IT sourcing. As Assistant Accounting, I am responsible for preparing accounts, tax returns and annual financial statements.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

Firstly, I assist our clients with questions regarding the fulfilment of their tax obligations. Secondly, I work on digitalising and optimising processes and creating interfaces to ensure that clients benefit from workflows that are as simple and secure as possible. Furthermore, I ensure that the IT infrastructure is set up in such a way that the figures are valid, audit-proof and retrievable at any time.

What has been your career path?

After my training as an assistant tax consultant, I worked for one year as a tax specialist. I then completed my Abitur and decided to study business informatics at Munich University of Applied Sciences. After a round-the-world trip and one year as an IT project manager, I have been working as Senior Finance IT & Assistant Accounting at Linn Goppold since 01.02.2026.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

What drives me every day is the versatility of my tasks. I truly appreciate it when no two days are the same. Instead of working through monotonous routines, I find it exciting to constantly delve into new issues. This variety keeps me motivated because it requires creativity and flexibility.
