Five questions for Felix Becker
Which areas do you mainly work in?
My work centres on tax consulting, tax declaration and the preparation of annual financial statements according to commercial and tax law. Value-added tax consulting in the Single European Market and in the context of third countries is a particular focal point for me. I also support asset management companies and private individuals, especially with regard to the tax treatment and structuring of real estate assets. In this context, my work also includes asset transfer and succession consultancy and the role of executor.
What problems do you solve for your clients?
I resolve complex tax matters and build reliable structures. In addition to establishing planning reliability, I share the knowledge that is required to make business and private decisions. I am happy to act as a buffer between my clients and the fiscal authorities.

What has been your career path?
My academic career began with a bachelor of business taxation and continued with a master of business taxation in Munich. This was followed by a master of laws in tax law and taxation in Amberg-Weiden. In addition to my studies, I gathered practical experience in tax consulting during my training and subsequent employment as an assistant tax consultant. In 2019, I established myself as a registered tax consultant in Munich. I have successfully completed various professional development courses and certifications, such as certified executor and certified consultant in real estate taxation. I am a permanent member of the board of examiners for the assistant tax consultant and tax specialist examinations of the Munich Chamber of Tax Consultants. In addition, I hold teaching positions at various colleges and universities in taxation, commercial and company law, accounting, bookkeeping, and cost and performance accounting.
What motivates you in your everyday work?
Taxation as well as estate and succession planning are matters of the heart, associated with a great deal of stress and uncertainty. They require empathy, open communication and close cooperation between the client and consultant. I make a point of also assisting my clients in areas that are unpleasant or emotionally taxing, and that one likes to put off. The esteem, trust and feedback of my clients are very important to me. I am motivated by lasting client relationships in which we grow together over many years – as trusting, dependable partners.
