Five questions for Christian Merkl

Which areas do you mainly work in?

My work mainly focuses on auditing as well as financial accounting tasks. I am involved in the auditing of annual and consolidated financial statements, assist with the design and evaluation of internal control systems, and help with the analysis of business processes. I also answer audit-related questions for international clients and help with the preparation of annual financial statements.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

I help my clients ensure the quality and reliability of their financial information. Through my auditing activities, I assist with identifying risks in processes and financial statements early on and help to minimize those risks. In doing so, I contribute to making complex financial circumstances transparent and ensure that legal requirements are met. I’m available to clients as a point of contract for audit-related questions and help develop practical solutions.

What has been your career path?

I began my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration studies at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University in 2019 and graduated in 2023. Then I completed my Master of Science in Finance & Accounting at the University of Munich from 2023 to 2025. I gathered practical experience in auditing during both my bachelor and master courses of study. I have been working for Linn Goppold since October 2025.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

Developing practical solutions for our clients and analysing economic relationships motivates me most. I highly value the teamwork when we solve complex problems together, actively supporting the success of our industries and clients in their continuing development
