Five questions for Kerstin Herz

Which areas do you mainly work in?

My activity at HLB Linn Goppold extends from financial accounting to preparing and assisting in creating annual reports and tax returns. I work primarily with international clients.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

I ensure timely delivery of various tax returns such as payroll or sales tax, and create monthly financial statements for these purposes. In addition, I prepare business assessments which inform clients about the business situation of their companies. In addition, I work on tax issues, and represent clients to the tax authorities for issues or questions.

What makes Linn Goppold special?

We offer a wide range of services, and have adapted to the changing needs of digitisation. Client-oriented thinking and action are key here. What has been your career path?

I began my studies in 2012 at the University of Konstanz for a Bachelor of Science in Business Science, which I completed in 2015. I then worked in a tax firm at Lake Constance until I decided to continue studies in Munich to advance in tax studies. I have been studying while working at the Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2016 for my Master’s of Taxation degree. I've been working at Linn Goppold since March 2017. In May 2020 I passed my exam as a tax consultant.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

The area of tax consulting offers new, interesting areas of work time and again, It's interesting to learn about our clients’ business ideas, and how we can help implement them as a firm – whether to found a new company, or to deal with current business events. The variety of the profession and the opportunity to develop personally and professionally are indicators which I enjoy in my everyday work. I’m also motivated by satisfied clients and the good working environment in the firm.
