Five questions for Anita Scholz

Which areas do you mainly work in?

My areas of focus are tax consulting, tax returns, annual reports and audits, supporting medium-sized family companies (GmbH and GmbH & Co. KGs) from various industries and their shareholders, as well as supporting clubs, individuals and property assets.

What problems do you solve for your clients?

I unburden our clients with recurring annual tax obligations. We always use the latest software to deal with the increasing challenges of digitisation. Our clients need not personally deal with the statutory and technical requirements which change yearly.

I communicate with tax authorities and always look for the most-advantageous solutions for our clients. I strive to clarify complex tax issues.

Using a generalist approach, I provide an overview of the tax needs of our clients to discover individual problem areas.

Using internal quality controls, modern IT, current software solutions and motivated staff, we work as a team to deal with the ever-more quickly changing requirements stemming from the law, digitisation and globalisation.

What has been your career path?

After attending secondary and technical school, I started my Business Administration studies at the University of Applied Sciences Deggendorf, and graduated in business studies [MBA]. I started as a tax and auditing assistant at HLB Linn Goppold in 2000. I was appointed to tax consultant in 2003. Since 2006 I have been manager in the auditing and tax consulting department. I’ve also been a Prokurist [authorised officer] since 2011.

What motivates you in your everyday work?

Learning something new nearly every day, trusting collaboration with long-standing clients, and productive exchange with colleagues spur me on. And of course, I’m also motivated by the feeling of success when I can solve problems for our clients.
