HLB Germany
HLB Germany, our national network (HLBD), was founded in 1974 by our firm in the person of Dr Werner Linn and three other German auditing firms. HLBD consists at this time of 23 independent German auditing and tax consultancy firms at 30 locations with about 2,000 employees. This network is one of the top three German national auditing firm networks.
Each NLBD member covers all service areas of a professional auditing and accounting firm. The special character and strengths of the German HLB Group result from intensive collaboration between member firms. This extends from joint employee training and continuing education in the HLB Academy to preparing current professional topics in professional groups, joint IT platforms to exchange information, maintaining a knowledge database and the use of joint auditing software to preparing and implementing internal and external quality assurance activities, and many additional benefits and synergy effects from which our clients benefit.
We see the HLB network as the “golden mean” between a large auditing firm (“Big Four”) and a locally-placed owned firm. On the one hand, we meet the international needs of our clients. On the other hand, we want to maintain our independence, flexibility and self-reliance in the context of a self-created corporate culture.
